St Columba's Crosspool

Open to God, Welcoming All

Crosspool Festival 2015

This year’s Crosspool Festival dates are from the 26th June to the 5th July.

The Open Air Service and Picnic in the Park will be on Lydgate Green at 12.30pm on 5th July, and will be led this year by the Bamford Village Singers. In the event of bad weather, this will be held in St Columba’s Church.

By way of contrast, we will also be hosting an “Abba” night on Saturday 4th July with Crosspool Women’s Institute.

During Festival Week, we will also be running a St. Columba Labyrinth! A labyrinth is like a maze, with the important difference that its path has no dead ends. Walking a labyrinth is a meditative journey, a structured activity providing resources for contemplation and prayer. Entitled “The Big Story” it represents the big themes of the Christian story that we find in the Bible. We invite you to come and experience our labyrinth at St. Columba’s. It will be open on Monday 29th 11 am – 2 pm, Tuesday 30th 2 pm – 5 pm, Wednesday 11 am – 2 pm, Thursday 2 pm – 5 pm, Friday 11 am – 2 pm.  Refreshments available.

Festival Messy Church will be on Sunday 5th July from 4-6pm, on Carver Field, off Hagg Lane, just opposite Den Bank Drive. All welcome for outdoor family fun in God’s creation, and a picnic.
