From Melbourne to Crosspool……….
Our previously rather plain Parish Office is suddenly full of colour, musical instruments, children’s books and craft materials……. Sally, our new Children and Families Worker has arrived! Over the last fortnight Sally has started getting know us, and this week she and her husband move into their new home in Crosspool. Sally’s appointment means that we will be able to develop our ministry with families in all sort of new and exciting ways. Sally writes: “I’m an Australian who has lived for 2 years in the UK with my husband Kon and daughter, Annabelle. I worked in Nottingham as a Church Family Worker , having come to the UK with a ministry background as a Deacon in the Anglican church ministering as School Chaplain, Pastoral Care, Mission and Community Development Worker in an inner city Anglican church in Melbourne, Australia. We’ve left two boys, Jude and Zak in Melbourne, where they are having far too much fun without their parents…….. I love exploring issues of faith and community, am inspired by Celtic spirituality and enjoy travel, photography, working with artists, writing, creating lovely things for the home, meeting new people and having cake and coffee with anyone who is free!”
