City of SanctuaryThis week, we ask you to focus and pray for the fundraising that City of Sanctuary are doing for their renovations. They are working to revamp the current Sanctuary space so that it is more welcoming, safe, and functional for those in need. Their fundraising goal is £6000 in conjunction with funding from the Brelms Trust and the AB Charitable Trust so they can fully redo the site in time for reopening post-pandemic. Their Co-Chair, Magic Magid, speaks wonderfully here about how your help can help change lives completely. You can read more, and donate (if you can!) here.
SacREd Space Returns!
The aim of SacREd Space is to provide a strategic retreat from the busyness and stress of our daily lives so that we might re-enter it with renewed energy and clarity; it provides an opportunity to still our minds and receive from a deeper place, so that we can RE-engage with what is life giving, REgain perspective, REstore energy, RElease tension, RE-ignite passion, and REnew vision.
We are pleased to be able to say that the next SacREd Space will take place via Zoom on Sunday 11 July 2021 at 7pm for about an hour. The log in details are:
Meeting ID: 933 2024 0683 Passcode: 859981
During this session we will be thinking about the year we have just had and where we are now, what we need to leave behind and what we might want to retain from our experiences of lockdown and the pandemic to date. Please could you have with you or have in mind 4 things that symbolise lockdown for you.
We hope to have a further Zoom session on Sunday 8 August and then a face to face session either at Stephen Hill Church or maybe outside, weather permitting, in September.
We look forward to seeing you on 11 July or some time soon.
Love from the SacREd Space Team: Adrian, Mon, Anesia, Fiona, Heather and Clare

Carers Week 7-13 June
Making Caring Visible and Valued
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much needed support.
There are an estimated 90,000 unpaid carers in Sheffield and possibly many more.
